FlightBag (flightbag.app) is built and operated by a solo developer based in Sofia, Bulgaria. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What We Collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and optional profile data (display name).
Usage analytics
We collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, feature usage) and may record anonymized session replays to understand how people use the app and identify issues. These tools help us improve the experience but do not track you across other websites.
Locally stored preferences
Some data is stored only in your browser's local storage and never sent to our servers. This includes your SimBrief username/pilot ID, checklist progress, ATC notepad content, and app preferences (theme, settings).
2. How We Use Your Data

3. What We Do NOT Collect
- - No tracking cookies. We only use essential cookies for authentication sessions.
- - No advertising. FlightBag does not display ads of any kind.
- - No data selling. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
- - No VATSIM credentials. We fetch publicly available VATSIM data - we never ask for or store your VATSIM login.
4. Third-Party Services
FlightBag uses trusted third-party services for the following purposes:
- - Hosting and infrastructure - to serve the app and store account data
- - Authentication - to manage sign-in and user sessions
- - Analytics - to collect anonymous usage data and session replays for improving the app
- - Flight data APIs - to fetch flight plans, live network data, and weather information from public endpoints
These services process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies. We do not share your personal data with any third party for advertising or marketing.
5. Data Storage and Security
- - Account data is stored on servers hosted in the European Union.
- - All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption).
- - Locally stored data (SimBrief ID, preferences, notepad content) remains in your browser and is never transmitted to our servers.
- - We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- - Access your personal data
- - Export your data in a portable format
- - Delete your account and all associated data
- - Correct inaccurate personal data
- - Object to processing of your data

- - When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.

8. Children's Privacy
FlightBag is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@klevr.net and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of FlightBag after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
